Your Role :
As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a vital role in conducting laboratory tests that provide crucial information for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. Your expertise and careful attention will directly impact patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Promote the mission and values of Williamson Health in all interactions.
- Engage in departmental initiatives and contribute to laboratory goals.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster a team-oriented environment.
- Ensure lab safety protocols are followed and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Accurately label specimens, perform high-complexity testing, and communicate critical lab results timely.
- Conduct instrument maintenance and troubleshooting while adhering to quality control protocols.
- Participate in training new staff and students as required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Education : BS degree in Medical Technology or related field, and a valid State of Tennessee Medical Technologist license.
Experience : Prior laboratory experience and familiarity with Meditech systems are preferred.

This role involves exposure to biological materials, chemicals, and requires the ability to communicate effectively, perform manual tasks, and stand or walk for extended periods. Flexibility in schedule is needed to accommodate staffing demands.
