What are the responsibilities and job description for the DUI Compliance Officer position at Williamson County Government?
Williamson County Government is seeking a dedicated DUI Compliance Officer to support the General Sessions Court DUI Recovery Court Program. This position monitors participant compliance with court-ordered requirements while promoting accountability, public safety, and long-term recovery.
Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor participant compliance with treatment, court attendance, drug and alcohol testing, employment, community service, and other court-ordered requirements.
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced home visits.
- Maintain accurate, confidential participant records and compliance documentation.
- Prepare participant status reports and provide updates during Recovery Court staffing meetings and court sessions.
- Coordinate with treatment providers, probation staff, recovery support services, and community organizations.
- Collect and maintain program data for grant reporting and program evaluation.
- Occasionally conduct observed alcohol and drug screenings in accordance with established procedures and same-sex observation requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Valid Tennessee Driver License or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable period of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in compliance monitoring, probation, case management, court operations, behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or a related criminal justice or recovery environment is preferred.
Working Conditions
This position works in office, courtroom, community, and participant residential settings. Regular local travel is required for participant monitoring and home visits. Participation in an on-call rotation is required, including availability by phone during assigned non-business hours.
