Duties
- Oversee patient assessment, triage, and vital signs monitoring to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses
- Manage airway interventions, medication administration, venipuncture, and other critical procedures with precision and confidence
- Coordinate critical care transport operations, ensuring safe and efficient movement of patients to appropriate facilities such as Level I Trauma Centers or hospitals with Level II trauma capabilities
- Conduct physical examinations and evaluate patient physiology to inform treatment decisions
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, vital signs, medications administered, and procedural steps following aseptic techniques
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, emergency responders, and team members to ensure seamless patient handoff and continuity of care
Requirements
- Valid EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification with extensive experience in emergency medicine settings
- Proven critical care experience within hospital environments or Level I/Level II trauma centers
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and emergency response protocols
- Hands-on experience with airway management, injection administration, venipuncture, and physical examinations
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) use and maintenance in emergency scenarios
- Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; valid driving license required
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods on your feet during urgent care situations
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stakes environments
