We are seeking a Manager of Construction to oversee construction execution for large industrial, power generation, or natural gas infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams of construction managers, inspectors, and support staff.
- Support projects through development, design, construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations.
- Review scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, drawings, execution plans, and contracts, identifying construction risk.
- Enforce QA/QC inspection programs and contract compliance.
- Demonstrate safety leadership with safety as the top priority.
- Manage organizational, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Utilize proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Work from or travel regularly to Salt Lake City, Houston, or Tulsa project locations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in construction, inspection, or commissioning for oil and gas facilities, stations, or plants.
Required Skills
- Experience leading construction execution for large industrial, power generation, or natural gas infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, contractor procedures, and construction work sequencing for plants, stations, or pipelines.
- Experience with earned value, schedule of values, progress reporting, and Primavera P6 schedules.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IEEE, NFPA, NEC, ASME, DOT, API, OSHA, AWS).
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Science.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in construction, inspection, or commissioning.
- Experience with natural gas pipelines, gas processing plants, transmission compressor stations, or gas gathering projects.
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
- Experience supporting FERC-regulated projects.
- Experience with contractor qualification, bid package development, and contractor selection.
Target backgrounds: power generation, natural gas infrastructure, EPC, heavy industrial construction.
Common feeder titles: Construction Manager, Senior Construction Manager, Project Construction Manager, Lead Superintendent.
