Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Provides strategic leadership to the production engineering team, field production superintendents, well work superintendent, and gathering system manager
- Oversees day-to-day production operations, including artificial lift, well interventions, workovers, compression, and production optimization
- Manages the midstream gathering system operations and coordinates with related infrastructure and maintenance functions
- Drives continuous improvement in production efficiency, uptime, and cost reduction across all assets
- Applies sound economic principles, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, to guide operational decisions and capital allocation
- Collaborates with reservoir and petrophysical teams to integrate subsurface understanding into production optimization strategies
- Champions safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance in all field and engineering activities
- Mentors and develops technical and operational leaders within the production and field organizations
- Serves as a key member of the operations leadership team, contributing to corporate planning, budgeting, and performance forecasting
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related field and a minimum of twelve (12) years’ related progressive experience in upstream oil and gas operations including production, well work, and field management
- Preferred: Master’s degree in petroleum engineering or related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas operations
- Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in midstream or gathering system operations
- Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in reservoir engineering and petrophysics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Deep understanding of artificial lift systems, well interventions, P&A, compression, and gathering systems
- Demonstrated leadership overseeing multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and field personnel
- Extensive experience with project economics and DCF-based financial evaluation
- Proven ability to foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability across teams
- High energy, detail-oriented, and creative problem solver with a commitment to operational excellence
Must be willing to:
- Work in an office environment sitting at a desk for the majority of the day.
- Carry or lift small office items and packages - items up to 25 lbs
- May be required to Travel 20% - 35% of time in role
