Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Assists and works closely with the team by providing on-site leadership to Operations, contractors, engineering, and support staff throughout the commissioning efforts
- Directs the implementation of the Asset Commissioning Process (01 91 11 C1 and C2) with team members and coordinates commissioning activities
- Works with the project team and leader to schedule pre-commissioning meetings, staff commissioning teams, and help mobilize teams to site
- Confirms that the staffing requirements within the commissioning process (ACP) are adequate to meet the proposed in-service date
- Continuously monitors the commissioning process against the site plan in order to make any resource adjustments as necessary
- Assists with development and execution of FAT testing, software testing, commissioning work plans (ACP), gas handling plans, and vendor checklists
- Assists with the scheduling and coordination of all vendor representatives required for commissioning effort
- Coordinates work with Operations and other functional groups within the company to schedule all activities, outages and approvals necessary for the team to perform commissioning tasks
- Communicates status of all commissioning activities to Project Leaders and other partners
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of fifteen (15) years related experience in operations, construction, or commissioning for oil/gas pipelines, meter stations, plants, or facilities
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or vocational school completion in a technical field and a minimum of twenty (20) years related experience in operations, construction, or commissioning for oil/gas pipelines, meter stations, plants, or facilities
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other scheduling/supporting software programs
- Experience with constructing and commissioning new oil/gas assets
- Excellent teamwork, communications skills and shared ownership practices
- Outstanding skills in reading of engineering prints and other technical schematics
- Preferred: Prior leadership experience
- Preferred: Familiarity with natural gas midstream assets
- Preferred: Experience with multiple prime driver and compression equipment packages, end device calibrations, skidded and non-skidded ancillary systems and electrical/controls
- Ability to travel up to 75%
