Job Summary:
- Inspector will be responsible to test and inspect as well as perform routine maintenance/ service on Fire Sprinkler Systems and other fire suppression equipment as assigned by office in a thorough descriptive manner documenting system deficiencies as required.
- Inspector will be responsible for completing NFPA testing reports as required for the equipment inspected.
- Positively interact with customers to explain work performed and answer questions involving their systems.
- Maintain and keep an organized truck inventory (equipment/parts and tools) to ensure proper response to customers' needs.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for inspecting various types Fire Sprinkler Systems, etc. according to applicable NFPA codes.
- Must be technologically savvy to have ability to fill out various reports on tablet in an organized manner.
- Must be willing to occasionally perform service work etc. upon request of supervisor.
- Must know how to operate power equipment lifts and hand tools.
- Must have the drive to keep inspections on or ahead of schedule.
- Have the ability to proficiently lead a crew.
Qualifications:
- NC State Inspectors License or NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems (if not currently obtained WFSC will work with the employee on obtaining this)
- Applicants should have 2-5 years experience in Fire Protection work.
- Applicant must also have excellent communication skills, and effective customer service skills.
- Applicant must be drug free and have a good driving record.
