Williams Electric & HVAC is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing team at our newly opened office in Prosper, Texas.
We are a commercial and industrial electrical contractor serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our work includes light industrial, healthcare, municipal, warehouse, manufacturing, and commercial construction projects. Projects range from tenant finish-outs to multimillion-dollar facilities.
This is a key opportunity for an experienced electrical estimator who wants to have a direct impact on the projects we pursue, the customers we serve, and the continued growth of the company. You will work closely with company leadership, project managers, field operations, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to develop accurate, competitive, and profitable electrical estimates.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing complete electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare, municipal, warehouse, and manufacturing projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and project requirements
- Build estimates using Trimble Accubid Anywhere
- Solicit, review, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, risks, and value engineering opportunities
- Prepare proposal letters, bid clarifications, exclusions, and scope summaries
- Participate in conceptual estimating, budgeting, and design-build opportunities
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, vendors, and customers during the estimating process
- Assist with project turnover meetings after award
- Maintain estimating databases, labor units, assemblies, and pricing information
- Help improve estimating procedures, bid processes, and preconstruction systems
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of electrical estimating experience
- Experience estimating commercial or light industrial electrical construction projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial electrical construction methods
- Experience preparing complete project estimates from bid documents
- Proficiency with Trimble Accubid Anywhere
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work closely with leadership, project management, field teams, vendors, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ConEst, McCormick, or similar electrical estimating software
- Design-build or conceptual estimating experience
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Field experience as an electrician, foreman, superintendent, or project leader
- Experience with industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, municipal, warehouse, or large commercial projects
Compensation and Benefits
- $110,000 β $150,000 base salary, depending on experience
