Youth Workplace Compliance Instructor
Part-Time/Seasonal W-2 | In-Person | Nashville, Tennessee
William W. Professional Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Youth Workplace Compliance Instructor to provide age-appropriate workplace training to youth interns participating in a public-sector workforce-development program.
The instructor will primarily deliver sexual-harassment awareness and prevention training. Additional approved topics may include workplace conduct, employee rights and responsibilities, professional boundaries, reporting procedures, protection against retaliation, timekeeping, wage-and-hour fundamentals and youth-employment requirements.
This is an in-person, part-time, as-needed position. Sessions may be scheduled during regular business hours, weekday evenings or Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate sexual-harassment awareness and prevention training.
- Explain prohibited workplace conduct, professional boundaries, reporting procedures and protection against retaliation.
- Provide approved instruction about workplace rights, responsibilities, timekeeping, wage-and-hour requirements and professional behavior.
- Use practical examples, scenarios, group discussions and knowledge checks.
- Coordinate training schedules and materials with WWPS and designated program representatives.
- Participate in group onboarding and new-hire sessions when requested.
- Maintain accurate attendance rosters, signed acknowledgements and training-completion records.
- Ensure covered employees complete required training within the applicable 90-day compliance period.
- Prepare presentation slides, participant handouts and lesson plans.
- Conduct refresher and make-up sessions when requested.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment when working with youth.
- Report significant safety, conduct or compliance concerns to authorized WWPS management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, workforce development, business administration, public administration, law, social services or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- At least three years of experience delivering workplace, compliance, human-resources or youth-development training.
- Knowledge of sexual-harassment prevention, workplace conduct and wage-and-hour requirements.
- Ability to explain workplace requirements in clear, age-appropriate language.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, classroom-management and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain accurate training and compliance documentation.
- Availability for in-person assignments in Nashville, including occasional weekday evenings and Saturdays.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Mandatory Background Check
This position involves direct interaction with youth participants. The selected candidate must consent to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check before beginning the assignment. Any employment offer will be contingent upon satisfactory completion of the background-check process in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with summer youth employment, internship or workforce-development programs.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, certified trainer, teaching credential or comparable certification.
- Experience providing sexual-harassment prevention or employment-compliance training.
- Familiarity with the Fair Labor Standards Act and youth-employment requirements.
- Experience developing training materials and participant assessments.
