This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, strengthening accounting processes, and helping build the financial infrastructure necessary to support a rapidly scaling organization. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, sales, and leadership teams.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Manage general ledger accounting activities and maintain compliance with US GAAP
- Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and inventory reconciliations across manufacturing and distribution operations
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to analyze inventory movements, production costs, and operational performance
- Support revenue recognition and sales accounting across wholesale, distributor, direct-to-consumer, and e-commerce channels
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A
- Coordinate annual audits and support tax compliance activities
- Strengthen internal controls and implement process improvements to support continued growth
- Support ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and finance transformation initiatives
- Mentor and develop junior accounting team members
Accounting Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred, not required
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Experience within consumer products, food & beverage, manufacturing, packaged goods, or distribution environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience supporting a venture-backed or other high-growth organization preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Salary : $125,000 - $145,000
