Davies is currently hiring a full-time Playschool Coordinator!
Qualifications
-Associates degree in Early Childhood or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
-Minimum of five years’ experience serving as a Lead Teacher in an early childhood/preschool setting
-Hold or be eligible for the C.P.R. & First Aid Certification
-Hold or be eligible for RIELDS Certification
-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
-Oversee the daily operations of the Davies Playschool ensuring a developmentally appropriate supervised play environment for young children (ages 3.5-5)
-Manage program enrollment, scheduling, attendance, and related documentation
-Collaborate with Education CTE faculty to provide regular meaningful access to Davies Education program students in the Davies Playschool
-Model professional teaching practices, classroom management lessons, and ethical standards for the Davies Education students
-Provide ongoing feedback to students to promote job skills and workforce readiness
-Manage the operational budget for the Davies Playschool, including purchasing, inventory management, and donations
-Implement program policies and procedures related to operations, staffing, safety, and family engagement
-Coordinate staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and optimal learning experiences for Davies Playschool students
-Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and staff
-Support outreach, recruitment, and community partnerships that enhance the Davies Playschool and Education CTE program
-Perform other duties as assigned

Terms of Employment
Salary: Established by the Director under the direction of the Board of Trustees.
Benefits: Align to State of RI healthcare plan and other benefits in accordance with the standards recognized by the RI Board of Educations' Personnel Policy Manual and applicable RI State Personnel Rules.
Work year: School year (180 days) plus 20 days agreed upon by immediate supervisor
Workweek: Hours agreed upon by immediate supervisor; based on standard workweek
