We are seeking a proactive, self-directed Lead Senior Accountant to serve as a vital financial anchor, strategic partner, and steady guide to our executive leadership team.
The Opportunity: Where Financial Precision Meets Creative CraftAs our Lead Senior Accountant, you won't just crunch numbers—you will play a vital role in fueling our organizational stability, protecting our financial assets, and driving high-performance growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will bridge high-level financial strategy with precise daily execution. This multi-entity role spans the financial operations of two entities, demanding a leader who thrives in consumer product distribution, complex inventory, and production landscapes.
Your Mission: Tactics & Tasks1. Protect Our Financial Assets & Ensure Compliance· GAAP & Tax Rigor: Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in strict accordance with GAAP, maintaining sharp attention to timing and cutoffs. Oversee accurate, timely tax filing and reporting.
· Maintain Robust Internal Controls: Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing necessary financial policies, procedures, and segregation of duties.
· Financial Infrastructure & Cash Flow: Oversee and reconcile daily cash and credit card receipts, monitor Line of Credit activity, and manage intercompany transfers and sweeps. Drive overall accuracy by identifying and implementing appropriate financial technology.
· Model & Analyze: Partner with the CEO to coordinate annual corporate budget models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows) and deliver quarterly forecasts. Run regular variance and margin analyses by product line and sales channel to guide executive decisions.
2. Drive Day-to-Day Transactional & Team Excellence· Publish Flawless Financials: Work closely with the team to complete accurate monthly close cycles within 15 days of month-end for owners, banks, and our executive team.
· Supervise Operations & Direct Reports: Supervise and work closely with direct reports, managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/collections, and overall general ledger operations.
· Audit & Inventory Leadership: Prepare annual audit schedules for external CPAs, lead interim/year-end physical inventory processing, compile CAPEX estimates, and oversee cost accounting, purchasing, shipping, and warehousing controls.
What You Bring: Qualifications & Background· Education: BS in Accounting or BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.
· Proven Experience: 6 years of experience in a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager role within an environment audited by external CPAs.
· Industry Mastery: Extensive experience in manufacturing consumer products—including purchasing, inventory control, cost accounting, and supply chain logistics.
· Tech & ERP Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Direct experience with mid-tier ERP systems (MS Dynamics GP preferred), ERP transitions, and digital file management.
· Leadership & Credentials: Direct experience managing staff. A CPA license is strongly preferred.
