Overview
William Everett is seeking a Business Analyst with strong Power BI expertise and experience working with K–12 school districts or organizations that specialize in K–12 education. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating educational and operational needs into clear requirements, data models, dashboards, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator with strong analytical and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with K–12 stakeholders (e.g., district leadership, finance, operations, IT, instructional teams) to understand business needs and priorities
- Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and data requirements
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support decision-making across K–12 functions (e.g., finance, enrollment, staffing, academic performance, operations)
- Analyze and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, stakeholder-friendly insights and recommendations
- Support data governance, reporting standards, and best practices within a K–12 environment
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet requirements and timelines
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Education, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Experience working within a K–12 school district or with clients that specialize in K–12 education
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Strong understanding of data analysis, reporting, and visualization best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Proven ability to work directly with clients or business stakeholders

Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
