Job Summary
Willco Sales & Service is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support commercial construction projects through technical plan review, accurate estimating, and responsive sales support. This role combines plan reading, pricing, and customer communication, and works closely with outside sales, contractors, and vendors.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys balancing detail-oriented work with a sales-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, details, and specifications to identify project scope
Verify dimensions, site conditions, and coordination requirements
Prepare accurate and timely estimates and pricing
Perform quantity takeoffs and scope evaluations as needed
Request and review vendor pricing and technical information
Develop alternates, value-engineering options, and pricing revisions
Support outside sales throughout the bidding and negotiation process
Respond to contractor and customer inquiries professionally and promptly
Assist with RFIs related to scope and technical clarification
Maintain organized project files, pricing worksheets, and internal records
Participate in sales meetings and project reviews as required
Assist in improving estimating processes, templates, and internal tools to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors to clarify scope, confirm pricing, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Conduct B2B (business-to-business) sales conversations, presenting product solutions that meet customer needs while emphasizing value and technical benefits.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain a thorough understanding of construction products, industry trends, and competitive landscape to position our offerings effectively.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, offering technical sales support, and ensuring a smooth sales process from initial contact through post-sale follow-up.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is a plus, but not required.
Experience in construction-related inside sales, estimating, or technical sales support.
Strong understanding of construction estimating principles.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable communicating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
Background in commercial construction or architectural products
Experience supporting outside sales teams
Familiarity with construction bid platforms or CRM systems
Demonstrated ability in technical sales, understanding complex product specifications and communicating them clearly to clients.
Proven experience in inside sales within the construction or technology sectors is highly desirable.

Pay: $85, $125,000.00 per year
