Wedding DJ — No Experience Required
Will Nye The DJ Guy is hiring outgoing, dependable people to join our team as Wedding DJs!
DJ experience is welcome, but it is not required. We provide hands-on training and teach you everything you need to know to confidently manage the music, announcements, and overall flow of a wedding celebration.
You do not need to be a technical expert. We are looking for people who are fun, personable, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable interacting with couples, guests, and other wedding professionals.
What You’ll Do
As a Wedding DJ, you will help create an unforgettable experience for each couple and their guests. Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and operating DJ and audio equipment
- Playing music based on the couple’s preferences
- Making announcements and helping guide the wedding timeline
- Communicating with couples, venue staff, photographers, and other vendors
- Keeping the event organized, professional, and running smoothly
- Creating a fun, positive atmosphere for guests
- Breaking down and packing equipment after the event
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:

- Able to remain on their feet for long days
- Able to lift, carry, set up, and take down DJ equipment
- Comfortable working independently after completing training
- Able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- In possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation of any kind
We have invested in user-friendly equipment that is easy to learn, operate, transport, and set up. Some lifting is required, but our systems are designed to make the process as straightforward and manageable as possible.
Experience and Training
Previous DJ, wedding, public-speaking, customer-service, music, or event experience is helpful, but it is not necessary.
We provide training for candidates who have the right personality, work ethic, and attitude. Being good with people is more important than already knowing how to operate DJ equipment.

Independent Contractors: Experienced DJs with their own equipment are also welcome to apply for contractor opportunities.
