Were looking for a dependable, detail-oriented senior accountant to join our team and support our day-to-day accounting operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that works closely with the VP of Finance and provides key support across financial operations and administrative areas. Youll play a vital part in keeping our accounting function running smoothly, allowing leadership to focus on strategic initiatives and business growth.
This position is 100% on-site at our Milwaukee office.
A Day in the Life:
* Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end journal entries
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing
* Assist with the month-end close process and preparation of financial schedules
* Build and maintain standard reporting tools to support business decision-making
* Provide audit and administrative support to the VP of Finance and President as needed
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
* Recommend and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, HR, and procurement
What You Need to Succeed:
* Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
* 35 years of hands-on accounting experience
* Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting operations
* Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel (Power BI is a plus)
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with executive leadership
* A self-starter with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
