Wilkes University invites applicants for a full-time Graduate Nursing Advisor position in the Passan School of Nursing (PSON).
The successful candidate is responsible for advising an assigned caseload of graduate students in the PSON as governed by the university and graduate nursing academic policies. This is a hybrid staff position that requires collaboration with PSON faculty, staff and other university departments to support the academic success of the nursing graduate students. Duties include but are not limited to completing and maintaining student graduation plans, assisting with course changes, monitoring leave of absences and withdrawals, and responding to all student calls and emails. This position maintains communication with the Graduate Nursing Chair, Faculty, Staff and Online Program Management (OPM) partner to provide direction and resolution to student problems. Participation in PSON and University activities and committees is expected as appropriate.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in nursing; master's degree in nursing is preferred; current unencumbered RN license in Pennsylvania. A minimum of 3 years' experience in nursing with leadership experience preferred in an administrative, managerial or clinical role. Distance education academic experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
