Position Summary
The Student Professional is a structured, part-time role designed for undergraduate students to gain real-world professional experience while supporting the operational needs of Wiley University.
This position is part of the University’s Workforce Pipeline Initiative and is intended to develop students in professionalism, communication, and workplace execution while contributing to the daily functions of assigned departments.
Student Professionals are expected to operate with a high level of accountability, professionalism, and engagement, representing Wiley University in both conduct and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to assigned department
- Assist with coordination of programs, events, or departmental initiatives
- Manage basic office functions including scheduling, communication, and organization
- Support data entry, reporting, and documentation processes
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established timelines
- Participate in required training and development programming through People and Culture
- Attend regular check-ins with assigned supervisor
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student at Wiley University
- Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Ability to work up to 15 hours per week
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and engage in professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Previous leadership, campus involvement, or work experience
- Experience in administrative, customer service, or team-based environments

Training and Development Requirement
All Student Professionals are required to complete:
- Online professional development curriculum
- In-person workshops facilitated by People and Culture
- Ongoing supervisor-guided development
