The Opportunity

Wildman is looking for a Director of Supply Chain to build and lead a scalable, data-driven supply chain capable of supporting the company’s continued growth.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for transforming sourcing, purchasing, inventory, logistics, supplier management, demand planning, and supply chain systems across Wildman’s eight-location enterprise. The role will help position Supply Chain as a strategic business function that improves service, reduces cost, strengthens working capital, and creates sustainable competitive advantage.

You will lead an experienced existing team while building stronger systems, processes, accountability, and enterprise-wide standards. You will also serve as a strategic partner to Sales, Operations, Finance, and location leadership—bringing data, financial insight, and constructive challenge to decisions that affect cost, inventory, service, complexity, and risk.

The right person for this role can move comfortably between long-term strategy and detailed execution. You should be able to assess an evolving function, establish a clear future state, prioritize the highest-value opportunities, and lead meaningful change across multiple locations and business functions.

What You’ll Do

• Own and execute Wildman’s enterprise supply chain strategy and transformation roadmap.
• Lead sourcing, purchasing, inventory, logistics, supplier management, demand planning, and replenishment strategy across the organization.
• Develop a scalable supply chain operating model capable of supporting continued growth across current and future Wildman locations.
• Assess current processes, systems, inventory, supplier relationships, spend, and organizational capabilities and establish a prioritized transformation roadmap.
• Standardize supply chain processes, policies, decision rights, and accountability across the enterprise.
• Manage approximately $30 million in annual enterprise spend and identify sustainable opportunities to improve cost, productivity, and financial performance.
• Build a multi-year cost productivity pipeline through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, negotiations, SKU rationalization, specification standardization, logistics optimization, and process improvement.
• Partner closely with Finance to ensure supply chain improvements translate into measurable EBITDA, cash-flow, and working-capital results.
• Develop and lead an enterprise inventory strategy that balances product availability, customer service, supply risk, and working capital.
• Improve inventory visibility, inventory turns, replenishment discipline, and accountability across all Wildman locations.
• Reduce excess and obsolete inventory, stockouts, emergency purchases, premium freight, and avoidable service disruptions.
• Establish a disciplined demand-planning process connecting Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Develop category strategies and a strategic sourcing roadmap across Wildman’s major areas of spend.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, supplier segmentation, performance management, QBRs, and risk mitigation.
• Build supplier scorecards that measure cost, quality, service, availability, lead time, responsiveness, innovation, and risk.
• Identify and mitigate high-risk and single-source dependencies while developing appropriate secondary-source and business continuity strategies.
• Serve as the senior Supply Chain leader supporting Wildman’s ERP transformation and define future-state supply chain requirements before processes are automated.
• Establish strong master data, reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and supply chain analytics.
• Identify opportunities to automate purchasing, replenishment, reporting, and administrative processes.
• Leverage analytics, AI, and modern supply chain technology to improve forecasting, sourcing, inventory optimization, and decision-making.
• Develop a repeatable supply chain integration approach for future acquisitions and new locations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the existing Supply Chain team while clarifying roles, ownership, KPIs, and accountability.
• Build organizational capability and distribute ownership before adding unnecessary complexity or headcount.
• Regularly communicate supply chain performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities to executive leadership.
• Travel regularly among Wildman locations and to strategic supplier meetings as needed.
• Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
  
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Significant progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably within a multi-site organization.
• Demonstrated success building or transforming a supply chain function within a growing organization.
• Experience managing $20 million or more in annual addressable spend strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated record of delivering significant, sustainable cost or productivity improvements.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, category management, inventory optimization, demand planning, working capital, logistics, and replenishment.
• Experience leading the supply chain workstream of an ERP implementation, upgrade, or significant systems transformation.
• Strong financial acumen with an understanding of EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, total cost of ownership, and ROI.
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable systems and processes in a resource-conscious environment.
• Experience developing and leading an existing team through significant organizational or operational change.
• Ability to partner with and constructively challenge Sales, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership.
• Experience in a small-to-mid-sized growth organization strongly preferred; acquisition integration experience is a plus.
• Experience with analytics, automation, AI, or modern supply chain technology strongly preferred.
• Experience in textile rental, First Aid & Safety, facility services, distribution, route-based service, or a related B2B industry is a plus but not required.
• ISM, APICS/ASCM, CSCP, CPSM, or a related certification is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly among Wildman locations and to strategic suppliers.
