Duties
- Design and assemble a variety of floral arrangements for retail sales, events, and special occasions, ensuring each piece meets high aesthetic standards
- Assist customers by offering expert advice on floral choices, care instructions, and complementary products to enhance their purchase experience
- Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers through proper handling, watering, and storage techniques
- Manage inventory by stocking flowers, tools, and decorative accessories efficiently while monitoring stock levels for replenishment
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for customer transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Support merchandising efforts by creating attractive displays that highlight seasonal themes and promotional items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the shop remains organized, clean, and inviting at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in floral design for at least 3 years or more
- Strong knowledge of floral care techniques
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer service skills
- Ability to operate POS systems confidently and handle cash transactions responsibly
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain tidy workspaces
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage positively with clients of all backgrounds
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate pricing, sales tracking, and inventory management
- Knowledge of merchandising strategies to create eye-catching displays that drive sales
