Assistant Preschool Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and early childhood development, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Responsibilities

· Provides attentive care and supervision to children in a daycare setting

·Assists with implementing lesson plans

· Maintains appropriate communications with all staff, parents and children; maintains a professional relationship with all families by being warm and open.

· Maintains a clean and organized childcare environment.

· Monitor children's behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies.

· Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.

· Treats each child with respect.

· Provides a well-balanced schedule, alternation of active and quiet activities, small group, large group and individualized attention.

· Follows all DHS regulations, and Wildflowers policies and procedures as listed in personnel policies including parent policies and procedures.

· Maintains professional attitude at all times; maintains loyalty to the program

· Performs other duties as assigned by the director.

Qualifications

· Experience in a childcare centers or education field preferred

· Knowledge of childhood development stages and appropriate care techniques

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

· Strong communication skills with both children and parents

· Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus

· High school diploma/GED or higher

Skills

· Preschool Curriculum Knowledge (4-5 year olds)

· Classroom management (4-5year olds)

· Behavior management skills

· Understanding of childhood development principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
