We are actively seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a strong background in utilities and structural concrete to join our Colleyville-based team.
Position Summary
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for site development, water/wastewater/storm utilities, and concrete structures such as vaults, walls, slabs, and foundations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with civil and structural construction, and comfortable working in a fast-paced preconstruction environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze civil and structural construction plans and specifications to determine the full scope of work.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for:
-Underground utilities (water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage)
-Structural concrete (foundations, walls, vaults, headwalls, retaining systems)
-Earthwork and grading associated with utility installation
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids for completeness and competitiveness.
- Coordinate with project management, field operations, and executive leadership to ensure accuracy and alignment of bids.
- Maintain historical cost data, productivity rates, and material/labor pricing for the DFW market.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
- Prepare and present bid proposals with supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in civil, utility, or concrete construction.
- Deep understanding of underground utility systems and structural concrete work.
- Strong proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid, B2W Estimate, Procore, or similar estimating software.
- Skilled in digital takeoff tools such as Bluebeam Revu, Stack or Agtek.
- Solid knowledge of construction practices and pricing in North Texas.
- Strong math, organization, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively.
- History of a strong win rate and productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with TxDOT, municipal, or commercial site infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and North Texas construction codes
Work Environment
This position is based in Colleyville, TX and requires in-office collaboration. Occasional local travel to bid sites and project locations is expected.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
