What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Sales and Marketing Coordinator position at Wild Adventures?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Serve as daily contact with key corporate clients, hotels, welcome centers
• Track, stock and distribute tickets and marketing materials to promotional partners on an on-going basis
• Complete all necessary and assigned tactics to support activation of group sales accounts
• Prepare and distribute Tasking Memos for each event.
• Complete and process all contracts and documents for sales events
• Communicate with and provide records for Catering on all meal functions, set-ups and details for successful picnic and events
• Maintain documentation of all picnic business including verification of menu, meal counts and pre-payment.
• Support various printing projects and requests for groups, special interest groups (boy/girl scouts, schools, homeschool, etc.) or special marketing promotions
• Process any comp ticket requests from the Marketing team to ensure they are processed correctly and have been properly documented and approved.
• Create and maintain databases for group sales reps and marketing managers to track sales and contacts to develop and attract new business.
• Serve as primary ticketing team lead, managing ticket content and layouts, ticket set-up within the system, testing, approval and activation.
• Assist in planning and execution of property special events.
• Manage and maintain group sales database (Salesforce)
• Group ticket requests and printing
• Day-of event on-park coordination
• Work with sales team to secure commitments and additional sites
• Provide information on educational programs and coordinate with other departments for presentations if needed
• Input, schedule and follow up on all signage requests from all departments to ensure accurate and timely signage
• Maintain the invoice and expense processes for the marketing department, including purchase order set up and processing.
• Must be willing to work outside his or her zone of assignment to fulfill general park needs on occasion
• Ensure compliance with all Herschend Family Entertainment and Wild Adventures policies and procedures
• Represents the company to guests and other team members in a positive and friendly manner
• Satisfies Wild Adventure’s standards for performance and conduct. For example, reports to work regularly and on time
• “Create Memories Worth Repeating” for our Guests by exceeding guest expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary work space will an indoor, professional office setting; occasionally requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and in presence of dust and odors. May be susceptible to the exposure of various chemicals, bodily fluids and blood borne pathogens, prolonged exposure to sunlight or rainy conditions

Ability to speak to customers or employees of organization. Understands the basic concepts of marketing. Must possess excellent oral and written skills, including thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including spelling, grammar and the rules of composition. Must communicate effectively with those outside the organization to include media, the public, our guests, local government and industry peers, as well as effectively facilitate in-house communication. Should be able to think creatively in developing and applying new ideas/concepts and problem-solving.
