Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging product demonstrations and in-person customer service to educate clients about our offerings.
• Promote products effectively through in-store interactions, events, and social media platforms to increase brand awareness.
• Collect valuable data during customer interactions to inform marketing strategies and improve service delivery.
• Manage social media accounts by creating content, engaging followers, and supporting marketing campaigns.
• Build strong customer relationships through personalized communication, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
• Represent the brand confidently at events, markets, and retail locations by delivering compelling presentations and public speaking engagements.
• Handle sales objections professionally to convert inquiries into sales while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Support retail store operations by maintaining product knowledge and assisting with inventory management as needed.

Position Summary

The Production, Customer Sevice, Sales and Brand Ambassador plays a critical role in the daily success of Wild About Popcorn. This position combines gourmet popcorn production, customer service, packaging, sampling , merchandising, inventory management, sales support, event preparation and execution, community engagement, social media content creation, and brand promotion.

The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, customer-focused, comfortable interacting with the public, willing to appear in promotional videos, and excited to represent Wild About Popcorn both in-store and at community events. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, initiative, and a positive attitude are essential.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales

• Greet every customer with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Provide product samples and explain flavors, ingredients, and promotions
• Assist customers in selecting products that best meet their needs
• Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, gift cards, and loyalty programs
• Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, and online
• Utilize suggestive selling and upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience
• Help create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits

Production & Packaging

• Prepare gourmet popcorn according to company recipes and production standards
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures
• Portion, bag, seal, label, and organize products for retail and wholesale distribution
• Prepare gift baskets, specialty orders, and seasonal products
• Maintain consistency in product quality, flavor, freshness, and presentation

Cleanliness & Food Safety

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with company operating procedures

Inventory & Store Operations

• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products
• Receive and organize deliveries
• Restock shelves and displays throughout the day
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation
• Notify management of replenishment needs
• Support event preparation and setup

Merchandising & Store Appearance

• Maintain attractive and fully stocked product displays
• Ensure shelves are organized, clean, and visually appealing
• Assist with promotional displays and seasonal merchandising
• Help create an inviting shopping environment for guests

Social Media & Content Creation

• Participate in creating videos, photos, and promotional content for social media platforms
• Be comfortable appearing on camera to showcase products, flavors, promotions, and special events
• Support marketing initiatives by helping create engaging content that reflects the personality of the brand
• Assist with in-store promotions and customer engagement campaigns

Product Demonstrations, Events & Brand Representation

• Conduct product tastings and demonstrations both in-store and at community events
• Represent Wild About Popcorn professionally at festivals, farmers markets, fundraisers, hospital events, chamber events, and other promotional activities
• Assist in planning, preparing, loading, setting up, operating, and breaking down company events
• Ensure event displays are attractive, organized, fully stocked, and aligned with company standards
• Engage with guests, offer samples, answer product questions, and create a memorable brand experience
• Support event sales, inventory tracking, product replenishment, and event reporting
• Help generate excitement around the brand through customer interaction and community engagement
• Serve as a positive ambassador for Wild About Popcorn both in-store and at off-site events
• Collaborate with team members to ensure successful execution of events from preparation through completion
• Support community outreach initiatives designed to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty in-store and at events

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail, food service, bakery, hospitality, kitchen, or customer service preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service mindset with a positive attitude
• Comfortable interacting with customers and appearing in promotional videos
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and safety standards accurately
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a production and retail environment
• Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the store as needed
• Ability to remain Standing for long periods without losing friendliness or a helpful attitude toward the customer

Experience

• Previous food service experience or experience working in retail environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in data collection, social media management, or event marketing will be advantageous.
• Bilingual skills are a plus for engaging diverse customer groups effectively.
• Proven success in customer relationship building and engagement through excellent communication skills.
• Experience in promoting products or brand representation at events or in-store settings.
• Strong sales background with the ability to handle objections confidently and close sales effectively.
• Technical proficiency with digital tools for client communication, social media platforms, and retail POS systems is desirable.
