Machine Technician

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

• Provide services to maintain, analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical components on CNC, Milling, Lathes machine tools and accessories.
• Assist machine installation, repair, retrofit, and system upgrades.
• Communicate action plans and timelines to customers and team members.
• Maintain safe work environment
• Perform and document work in accordance with company administrative and operational procedures
• Engage in company and team efforts to improve business and operational practices.
• Document maintenance as required for our ISO Systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Education and/or Experience:

• Vocational or associates degree (or equivalent experience) in machine tool mechanics, large machine repair, equipment maintenance, or related field.
• 1 or more years of machine maintenance or machine tool repair or maintenance services.
• Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and hand tools.
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to work parts such as pumps, motors, shafts, bearings, and spindles.
• Read and understands parts manuals, assembly instructions, trouble shooting guides and mechanical blueprints.
• Able to work and communicate effectively with team members, machine manufactures, and customers on technical issues.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Shop environment with exposure to power machinery, heights, high temperature, noise, moving components, grease, dirt and sharp objects.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be comfortable working from lifts and platforms.
• Willing to work outside in hot, cold or wet weather conditions.
• Willing to work around various chemicals.
• Ability to wear (without restrictions) required personal protective equipment including safety eyewear and footwear.
