Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication operations in Brookshire, TX. The ideal candidate will oversee daily fabrication activities, manage a team of skilled fabricators and technicians, and ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment. Reporting to senior leadership, the Fabrication Manager will play a key role in supporting custom fabrication for skid packages, piping systems, and other specialized industrial components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Supervise all aspects of fabrication processes, including welding, assembly, and finishing for custom skid packages and piping systems. Optimize workflows to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fabricators, welders, and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure fabricated products meet industry standards (e.g., ASME, API) and client specifications. Conduct inspections and audits to maintain high-quality output.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to review blueprints, schedules, and material requirements. Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and inventory to support on-time delivery.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety-first environment by enforcing OSHA regulations, conducting safety training, and investigating incidents. Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards in all fabrication activities.
  • Cost Management: Monitor budgets, control costs for materials and labor, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze fabrication processes for inefficiencies and implement lean manufacturing techniques. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance capabilities.
  • Client and Vendor Relations: Interface with clients to understand project needs and provide updates. Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in fabrication management will be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in fabrication or manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. Experience with skid packages, piping fabrication, and custom industrial solutions is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication processes, and CAD software. Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and ERP systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or similar certifications preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems is a plus.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, including occasional overtime. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Valid driver's license required.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
