We are seeking a Podiatry Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed.

We are seeking a Podiatry Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed.
Responsibilities
- Travel to different locations 4 days of the week.
- Take vitals, update medical history and allergies and record in EHR system
- Experience in taking podiatry specific x-rays is a plus
- Sterilize instruments and prepare instrument packets
- Prepare treatment rooms and obtain information necessary for physician to treat patient
- Prepare patient for procedures and have patient sign applicable form
- Perform dressing changes
- Nail Debridement
- Take pictures of patient wounds and other procedures as necessary and attach them into EHR
- Assist Physician in entering medical notes into CareCloud EHR system
- Stock treatment rooms daily and/or weekly
- Preferable experience in dealing with casting and dispensing of Diabetic Shoes/Inserts
- Knowledge and experience in dispensing Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- Perform all duties within HIPPA regulation
- BLS Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant
