Wieland is hiring a Welder. The Welder will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. Maintain equipment and facilities in a safe, clean, and efficiently operational manner. Adhere to procedures and prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, and preventive maintenance. This role is located in Verona, VA and will be fully on-site.
Weekday Pay Starting Pay: $25.00
Nightshift Starting Pay: $26.75
Schedule: 3rd Shift Sunday - Friday | 10:00pm - 6:00am
Schedule 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday| 6AM - 4:30PM
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.
- Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.
- Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation, and movement of product.
- Utilize various types of welding equipment/techniques.
- May supervise machines that perform automated welding tasks.
- Be certified and perform within ASME Code regulations.
- Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards.
Qualifications:
- MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 2 years of previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Steadiness of arms and hands and make coordinated movements.
- Ability to read text, process and understand its meaning.
- Able to gather and retrieve information effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools and their uses and maintenance.
