The Order Expeditor will be responsible for expediting of all Wieland Diversified purchase orders to vendors, maintenance and issuance of status reports to Electric Boat and Huntington Ingalls Newport News. The expeditor will be responsible for monitoring and verifying orders from Wieland-Diversified to vendors, specifically regarding purchase orders and vendor acknowledgements.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all vendor purchase orders match acknowledgement confirmations from suppliers. 2. Update Wieland-Diversified systems with information received from vendor open order reports, weekly or monthly. 3. Coordinate with Sales, Quality Control, and Operations, to mitigate delivery issues, when possible. 4. Maintain and distribute spreadsheets with up-to-date order statuses. 5. Expedite all orders and issue status reports when necessary – including assisting in backlog6. Maintain files for sales and warehouse, including uploading of certs and cover pages into ERP system.

 

Qualifications:

1. The ability to solve practical problems and handle a range of concrete variables in situations where standardization is limited.2. The skill to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.3. Proficiency in using various systems, learning them, and adapting to technology in the workplace.4. Excellent proficiency in using Excel and a strong understanding of reporting techniques that can be beneficial in specific situations.5. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
