Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Lumber Stacker and play a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling and organization of lumber products within our facility.
Nature of Work: Stacks sorted lumber in proper bundles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to count to 50.
- Must have safe work habits.
- Must be able to work closely with others.
- Must be able to work at a desirable pace.
- Must be able to distinguish different sorting marks and board lengths.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to stack lumber in proper piles and to do so quickly and neatly to make uniform packages to specifications.
- Alerts foreman of any accident, mishap or mechanical problems.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Helps forklift operator roll out bundle racks.
- Responsible to make efficient use of downtime by either helping resolve problem or cleaning work area.
Non-Essential/As Needed Job Functions:
- May be required to rotate to other positions.
- May be required to perform other job duties as they arise.
Supervision Received:
- Under the direct supervision of planning foreman
- Under the general supervision of the warehouse & finishing plant manager
