The Production Lead (1st Shift ) leads and coordinates activities of a team of production associates in the fabrication and/or assembly of HVAC equipment. This person will direct incumbents to ensure Safety, Quality, Production, and Facility Operations are maintained on their designated Shift. Additionally, this person will communicate with the Value Stream Team on the status of all facets of operations to assure continuity across shifts
This position has direct reports over several areas. The team may consist of up to 30 associates across Manufacturing, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving.
This role is located at 101 Industry Way, Staunton, VA and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities
Production Lead (1st Shift) Responsibilities:
- Ensures team members' adherence to specified standards of safety, quality, operating procedures, and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings at the start of the shift to review pertinent safety information, daily production objectives and overall shift expectations.
- Provide documented handover information to the appropriate personnel on the status of units to assure a seamless transfer. Information shall include the status of units, where they are, and at what stage in the process they are in.
- Maintains time and performance records for each team member.
- Assures and assists (including hands-on training) in the training of direct reports in various areas to documented procedures. Training records shall be maintained.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in management with emphasis on manufacturing or equivalent experience required.
- Previous Supervisory experience managing/leading a group of production associates required.
- 2 to 5 years of previous relevant industrial manufacturing experience required.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel and departments within the organization.
- Familiarity with the various departments and equipment within the scope of their responsibility preferred.
- Ability to interpret, comprehend and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Must have demonstrated a mechanical aptitude. Mechanical aptitude exam may be used to determine the extent of mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft office suite.
