Wieland Designs is hiring an Advanced Upholstery Technician to join our Topeka team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality, works efficiently, and supports the team.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
(Overtime or occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs)
What You’ll Do:
- Complete advanced upholstery and assembly work across multiple product lines
- Read and follow patterns, specs, and work instructions
- Maintain quality while meeting production pace (takt time)
- Troubleshoot issues to keep production moving
- Support cross-training and team development

What You Bring:
- Strong upholstery experience (industrial or high-skill craftsmanship preferred)
- Comfortable using hand tools, air tools, and upholstery equipment
- Ability to read patterns, templates, and technical instructions
- Consistent attendance and reliable performance
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Team-oriented mindset—you step in and help solve problems
Work Environment:
- On your feet 8–10 hours per shift
- Repetitive hand and arm movement (stapling, pulling, aligning materials)
- Lift 25–40 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Non-climate-controlled production environment
