Employment Type: Full time, Monday – Friday

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dynamic orthopedic practice. This role involves working alongside a joint replacement surgeon in both clinic and operating room settings, while also supporting general orthopedic care in the clinic (walk-in patients with acute injuries).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the orthopedic surgeon in the operating room, primarily with joint replacement procedures (hip, knee, and shoulder cases)
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in the clinic setting
  • Independently assess and treat walk-in patients presenting with acute orthopedic injuries (e.g., fractures, sprains, dislocations)
  • Perform procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, splinting, and casting
  • Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and ancillary services to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and injury prevention

Qualifications:

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with active state licensure
  • Prior experience assisting in orthopedic surgery, preferably joint replacement, strongly preferred
  • Comfortable managing a wide range of general orthopedic conditions independently
  • Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to efficiently manage both scheduled and walk-in patient workflows
