Director of Sales & Business Development
Position Summary
WIELAND’s Director of Sales and Business Development is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the overall sales strategy to secure a consistent volume. This role requires a hands-on leader who can actively seek new business opportunities while training, coaching and building accountability structures for the sales force.
Job Functions
Business Development & Pipeline Management
- Lead the overall responsibility and accountability for all sales functions and results to lead WIELAND to an annual sales volume of $400M.
- Set and manage Business Development goals to ensure a corporate opportunity funnel and pipeline of $1-$1.5B.
Sales & Marketing
- Prioritize and drive the company’s growth strategy and sales efforts in line with the strategic plan.
- Collaborate with Executives and Directors of each office to establish the sectors for pursuits.
Client Relationships & Retention
- Contribute to overall sales and sales process, maintaining relationships with clients, architects, developers, etc.
Leadership & Corporate Culture
- Lead training, coaching and accountability of the sales force.
- Continue to promote the awareness of WIELAND and what we do in your respective market and/or sector.
- CUI Handling: responsible for safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information per NIST SP 800-171 and company policy, including proper access controls, encryption, secure storage/transfer, logging incident reporting and audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, advertising, communications or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 7-10 years or more of experience in sales or business development.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Construction experience highly desired, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
