Hardscape Foreman

The Hardscape Foreman oversees and participates in the installation of hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor living spaces, fire pits, driveways, and other landscape construction features. This role is responsible for leading a crew, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and completing projects efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a hardscape installation crew.
• Read and interpret landscape and construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and assign tasks to crew members.
• Install pavers, retaining walls, natural stone, concrete features, and outdoor living elements.
• Operate construction equipment such as skid steers, compact excavators, plate compactors, and power tools.
• Ensure projects meet company quality standards and client expectations.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to management.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety procedures.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and equipment operation.
• Manage materials, equipment, and job site inventory.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and resolve issues in the field.
• Complete required paperwork, timekeeping, and project documentation.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hardscape or landscape construction experience.
• Bilingual Highly Preferred
• Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of paver systems, retaining walls, grading, drainage, and excavation practices.
• Ability to read construction plans and layouts.
• Experience operating landscape construction equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
