Technician - Ag

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Perform with skill, expertise, and a high level of quality and efficiency the setup, repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance of customer equipment.
• Communicate with Service Specialist on the diagnosis and status of repairs, parts, and other concerns.
• Accurately troubleshoot and repair all equipment the first time.
• Read, understand, and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work.
• Remove, repair, and install components in varying configurations of equipment.
• Complete service reports daily that are legible, have proper grammar and sentence structure, and appropriate job codes.
• Transmit photos, timecards, service reports, and other information through email.
• Maintain good customer records on jobs that have been assigned.
• Work with the Parts Department, Product Support Representatives, and Sales Department to meet all the customers’ needs.
• Promote Wickham Tractor Company to customers.
• Maintain tooling in good working order as per OSHA regulations.
• Maintain service vehicle, shop tooling, and WTC assets.

Education & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Agriculture, Farming, Heavy Equipment, or Construction.
• 2-5 years of technician experience.
• 2-5 years of customer service experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate skills with computer/tablet and engine diagnostic equipment.
• Current technical, mechanical, and product equipment knowledge.
• Basic skills with phone, reading/writing, reasoning, math, organization, and communication.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• A valid driver’s license and insurability on the company insurance plan are required.

Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching overhead. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance regularly. The position also requires grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, working around moving machinery, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, speaking, seeing, and reading/writing.

Compensation:

• $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Training:

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday
• May need to perform duties outside of regular business hours

Work Location:

• This is not a remote position. Requires to be in person at the dealership location
