What are the responsibilities and job description for the Major Appliance Sales Consultant position at Wickford Appliance?
Wickford Appliance is seeking a high-energy Sales Consultant to be an excellent addition to our team at the Cumberland Outlet Store. This location specializes in the sale of open-box and slightly blemished appliances at a discount, while also offering the ability to sell new product to create complete appliance packages tailored to each customer’s needs.
Our Sales Consultants are solution-driven professionals whose primary goal is to ensure each customer is properly fit with appliances that best suit their home, lifestyle, and budget. Our product offerings include, but are not limited to, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, laundry, and air conditioners.
As a family-owned company in business since 1958, we take great pride in the quality of service and long-standing relationships we provide to our customers. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is equally comfortable selling in-store as well as actively engaging relationships to generate new business and build their own book of clientele.
Minimum Requirements:
- High- School Diploma or equivalent
- A Team Player with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous sales/customer service experience is preferred.

FLSA and Employment Status:
- Non-Exempt Hourly Base Wage Commission & Spiff Eligibility
- Full-time position: 38-40 Hours
- Schedules vary Monday – Saturday from 9:15AM to 6PM with one day off during the week.
- Saturdays are Mandatory for all Sales Consultants
Work Location: Cumberland, RI 02864 – required to have reliable transportation to commute to and from work
