About the Role:
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled RCA to join our team in the SENIOR LIVING and MEMORY CARE Health Care and Social Assistance industry. As an RCA, you will be responsible for providing direct care to our patients and assisting them with their daily living activities. You will work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care per our "Hillside Way". Your primary goal will be to promote the physical and emotional well-being of our residents and help them feel that each day is worth them living with a purpose!
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification appreciated BUT! NOT REQUIRED!
- Experience working in a Senior Living, Memory Care Community setting
- Ability to physically lift and move residents and use mechanical lifts (hoyers, sit to stands & slide boards)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be English speaking, writing and understanding
- Must be able to work around unpleasant odors for bowel incontinence care, residents with infections, residents that passed away
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with elderly, physically disabled and memory impaired residents
- Experience working in a Senior Living Community, preferred
- Experienced proven track record of good attendance and punctuality
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with their daily living activities, such as bathing/showering, dressing, and grooming, eating, walking, managing incontinence care
- Monitor and record residents' vital signs and report any changes to Nurse on duty
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents at all times
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and all healthcare professionals
Skills:
As an RCA, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents and their families. You will also use your knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures to provide high-quality care to our residents adhering to the "Hillside Way Pillars of Service". In addition, you will use your attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate resident records and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Your ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing situations will be essential to your success in this role.
Day Shift: 6am-2pm
Afternoon/Evening Shift: 2pm-10pm
