Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford, P.A. is actively seeking motivated Associate Attorneys to join our dynamic litigation teams in the Orlando, Florida office. We are looking for candidates with 2 to 8 years of experience, specifically in general liability and professional liability matters, to provide an excellent opportunity to handle complex cases in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers.
- Develop litigation strategies in close collaboration with senior attorneys and partners.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
- 2 to 8 years of experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense preferred.
- Active license to practice law in good standing.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with a writing sample required.
- Excellent communication and advocacy capabilities.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should demonstrate a readiness to take on significant responsibility while being team oriented.
