Barista Back at Wicked Voodoo Espresso
The barista back is the teams support system. This person is responsible for taking customer orders, ringing up customers, running outside to take orders from cars in the drive through, assisting to prep cold drinks, will do some light restocking and cleaning as needed. This person should be a “go getter”, very driven, and takes initiative to do what is needed to keep the flow of customers moving quickly and efficiently, with minor cues or no cues at all. Communication is key in this position, be sure to always tell your team what your plan is and how you are helping as you work.
The barista back will learn recipes, learn our point of sale system, and always deliver fanatical customer service. The barista back will adhere to all company policies and our core values. The barista back should be able to take instruction well, see and hear cues given by other staff, and be able to work an entire shift with a sense of urgency.
The barista back position is seen as a great “stepping stone” to being a barista. A driven barista back that takes initiative and learns the ins and outs of the coffee shop, and proves to be reliable and an asset is the company’s choice to promote to barista in the future.
This job requires bending, twisting, walking, seeing and hearing. Must also be able to lift up to 30 lb.
Must be able to obtain food handlers card within 30 days after hire.
Must be on time, commit to shifts you are scheduled for, and able to stay to the end of your shift.
- This is an hourly paid position, plus tips provided by baristas on staff based on how valuable your service was to them.
