Who We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and brings a positive, can-do attitude to the table. You’re the kind of person who’s always one step ahead, works seamlessly with nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers (APPs), and genuinely cares about making patients feel supported. If you love being part of a collaborative team and making a real difference in people’s lives—this is your moment!
What You’ll Be Doing:
No two days will be exactly the same—and that’s what keeps it exciting! You’ll be an essential part of the clinical team, helping keep things running smoothly and supporting excellent patient care. Your day-to-day will include:
- Prepping patients for exams and procedures, and jumping in to assist providers as needed—with efficiency, care, and a smile!
- Collecting essential health information, including medical history, current concerns, and vital signs — all with accuracy, efficiency, and a friendly touch that helps patients feel at ease.
- Keeping exam rooms clean, fully stocked, and ready for action—because a well-prepped room is key!
- Handling incoming phone calls, taking messages, and calling in prescriptions under provider direction – all with a cool head and helpful spirit.
- Keeping charge tickets accurate and up-to-date, making sure everything’s in order.
- Helping patients understand the what, why, and how — giving clear instructions and helpful info, either directly or as guided by the provider.
- Create a welcoming, positive environment through friendly, compassionate communication with patients and the team.
- Keeping those electronic medical records (EMRs) up-to-date and accurate – no detail too small!
- Coordinating the provider’s schedule and keeping patient flow efficient and on track.
- Assisting with medications, durable medical equipment (DME), and in-office dispensing tasks like a pro
- Stepping in to support the team wherever needed—because teamwork makes the clinic work!
What You Bring to the Table:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS Certification (required)
- Comfortable navigating electronic medical records (EMRs), multi-line phone systems, and everyday office equipment with ease and skill.
- Excellent communication skills—you stay calm, clear, and compassionate, even when things get busy.
- Flexible but focused – You stick to clinical procedures with precision but can pivot quickly when the unexpected happens.
- Skilled in taking vital signs across all age ranges—from newborn to geriatric.
What to Expect Physically:
- You’ll be moving often—standing, walking, and sitting throughout your shift
- Strong hand and finger dexterity for daily clinical tasks
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with patient transfers (up to 200 lbs—with help!)
- You’ll be working in a clinical environment, where exposure to bodily fluids, sharps, and airborne particles may occur as part of routine care.
- A fast-paced, highly collaborative workplace where your energy and teamwork make a difference.
Why You Will Love Working Here:
- You’ll join a supportive, team-oriented culture where collaboration and encouragement are part of the daily routine.
- Wichita Urology is a mission-driven workplace where compassion, excellence, and respect are more than just buzzwords.
- You’ll directly impact the comfort and care of our patients—we couldn’t do it without you!
