Recreation Guest Server

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Duties involve direct interaction with guests in a manner that results in a high-quality experience.  Related tasks include cashiering, stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness of the center, monitoring activity in the center for the purpose of anticipating guest needs.  Must demonstrate a strong commitment to service standards and customer focus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Director and fellow employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Interacts with guests in a courteous, professional manner while serving guests who are here for play.
• Assists with coordination of group reservations and events.
• Works to maintain cleanliness throughout the center through regular bussing & wiping of tables as well as regular cleaning of bowling & billiards equipment.
• Corrects routine malfunctions with Qubica/AMF Edge String bowling pinsetters.
• Maintains a working knowledge of department programs and specials for the purpose of informing guests and answering questions.
• Answers and directs phone calls.
• Performs duties related to daily opening and/or closing of business.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Required to use close as well as moderate distance vision and be able to focus. Regularly required to talk and hear; required to lift up to 30lbs, stand and bend at the knees and waist, and walk or stand for extended periods of time.  Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.  

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Exposed to moderate noise levels. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with teammates and guests.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.  Ability to work independently or in a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.  Good judgement, problem solving skills and decision-making skills.
