The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of tenant improvement and retail construction projects focusing mainly in airport environments. This role manages planning, design coordination, permitting, construction execution, capital expenditure and turnover, ensuring we deliver world class projects safely, on time, on budget and to the expected quality standards of some of the most demanding landlords in travel retail.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Weekends as needed, 40 - 50 hours per week
Pay: Up to $130,000

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead multiple airport construction projects (retail, F&B, specialty) from concept through closeout
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and critical path milestones
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and airport stakeholders
- Oversee on-site construction activities including quality, safety, and progress tracking
- Ensure timely project turnover and readiness for operations
Preconstruction & Planning
- Support design development, scope definition, and constructability reviews
- Prepare and track project budgets, estimates, and value engineering initiatives
- Coordinate bid packages, contractor selection, and contract execution
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
Airport Compliance & Permitting
- Manage all airport authority approvals, permits, and TI submissions
- Ensure adherence to airport design standards, badging, safety, and operational constraints
- Coordinate inspections, life safety reviews, and final approvals for occupancy
- Maintain required documentation for Notice to Proceed and project closeout
Financial & Contract Management
- Track budgets, change orders, contingencies, and cost reporting
- Manage contracts, purchase orders, and vendor payments
- Lead cost control efforts, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support value engineering and cost optimization strategies
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
- Act as primary point of contact between internal teams, airport authorities, and vendors
- Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to scope and schedule
- Facilitate regular project updates, reporting, and executive-level summaries
- Coordinate owner-supplied equipment, fixtures, and logistics
Risk Management
- Identify risks related to permitting, schedule, cost, and logistics
- Develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field ( preferred )
- 5–10 years of construction project management experience, with airport or retail /TI experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost management
- Experience working in regulated environments ( airports, hospitals, or similar )
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience
- Airport tenant improvement or concessions build-outs
- Retail or multi-unit program rollout experience
- Familiarity with airport badging, phasing, and after-hours construction requirements
