Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic Non- Profit HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of human capital management systems. The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting organizational objectives through effective HR practices. We are an ADP system for Talent Acquisition and Recruitment. Any experience in this particular area is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee talent acquisition processes including recruiting, HR sourcing, ATS management and onboarding new employees through comprehensive employee orientation programs.
- Administer employee benefits programs, potentially oversight of payroll systems such as ADP, and ensure accurate data entry and recordkeeping .
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law (including FMLA, OSHA regulations), workers' compensation policies, and affirmative action planning.
- Assist the HR Director with employee relations by addressing workplace conflicts through effective conflict management strategies and facilitating communication between staff and management.
- Conduct employee evaluations and performance management initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Support change management initiatives and assist in organization design to optimize workforce effectiveness.
- Administer training & development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth opportunities.
- Assist with HR projects related to succession planning, strategic planning, and workforce management.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring data collection accuracy for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in human resources management or related fields with a strong understanding of human capital management systems such as ADP system HR function.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment & labor law compliance including FMLA, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP) and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Prior experience in at least benefits administration, training & development is highly desirable.
