The Opportunity:
Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Clinician to join our Behavioral Health team. In this role, you’ll provide assessments, counseling, and evidence-based treatment for adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders. You’ll collaborate with primary care, psychiatry, recovery coaches, and case managers to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care that supports recovery and advances health equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and dual-diagnosis treatment for adults in a community health setting
- Conduct intake assessments, screenings, and referrals from medical and specialty departments
- Facilitate early recovery and support groups, including Suboxone and dual-diagnosis programs
- Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and weekly Behavioral Health team meetings
- Support Mom’s Do Care and Re-Entry program participants through trauma-informed care
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation, including intakes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Active clinical license in Massachusetts (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, or LADC-I preferred)
- Minimum of five years of experience providing substance use treatment to adults
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 and evidence-based treatment models for addiction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally competent and trauma-informed care
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
