About the Position
The School Nutrition Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the food nutrition / dining program, assisting the General Manager in maintenance of systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food-related products.
Key Duties
- Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional standards, using approved systems and policies.
- Manage programs within established guidelines, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations and company policies.
- Recruit, train, and manage subordinate team members, providing guidance on tools and resources needed to perform tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounting and documentation of all financial components.
- Understand and implement sanitation and safety levels in respective areas, training staff accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or related field.
- Certifications: ServSafe Mandatory, local food safety certification if required; knowledge of local health and food safety ordinances.
- Minimum 1 year experience in K-12 programs, strong interest in school nutrition program development.
