Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sanitation Manager located in Berkeley, IL. The Sanitation Manager will oversee sanitation programs and ensure compliance with regulatory and company food safety standards. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing cleaning schedules, managing sanitation staff, conducting facility inspections, and coordinating with quality assurance teams to maintain hygiene protocols. The Sanitation Manager will also oversee training programs for sanitation procedures and ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in Food Safety and knowledge of food safety regulations and standards in a FDA/USDA regulated facility.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a big plus.
- Deep understanding on Chemical Inventory Management for food production facilities.
- Background in Food Manufacturing processes and Food Hygiene principles.
- Proficiency in Sanitary practices for food production facilities.
- Ability to coordinate Training programs for sanitation staff and promote best practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of industry-standard cleaning and sanitation equipment and protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
