What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Manager position at Superior Nut and Candy Company, Inc.?
Manage a team of sanitation technician's efforts to provide clean, orderly, and attractive conditions for the company premises. Communicate and enforce departmental goals and standards to the sanitation team.
Job Expectations:
- Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure that sanitation requests and duties are completed at a satisfactory to exceptional level.
- Responsible for training and managing sanitation employees and tasks.
- Reviews the work of the sanitation team to ensure tasks were done per company policy and SQF procedures.
- Ensures cleaning equipment is operated and maintained as trained and instructed.
- Responsible for performing and documenting Pre-op Inspections as verification and monitoring of cleaning effectiveness.
- Responsible for conducting equipment testing activities such as micro swab testing, equipment calibration, titrations.
- Responsible for regular monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies while documenting and ordering chemicals and non-chemical supplies.
- Comply with all Quality Assurance, GMPs, SQF, Safety, FDA standards and any other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Responsible for continuous improvement evaluations of both the team and SSOPs in partnership with leadership team.
- Follow all Safety procedures and ensures subordinates comply with same procedures.
- Work in variable environments (cold, warm, hot, humid, and wet).
- Learn and perform alternate duties in different areas according to Sanitation Department needs. Other duties and projects as assigned or directed.
- Track changes in employee hours to ensure proper hours are being recorded per the Chicago Fair Work Week Ordinance.
Qualifications:
- Able to work overtime and change work hours if needed.
- High energy level; works independently; team player; reliable.
- Computer literate (Office365, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook,Trace Gains).
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in cleaning procedures, chemical applications, and safety procedures.
- Experience with cleaning tools (floor scrubber, pressure washer, foaming units).
- Experience with operating a forklift.
- Able to perform with strong physical effort, such as, but not limited, to heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, stretching, climbing stairs and ladders.
- Experience with GMP’s, SQF, USDA or FDA, OSHA Safety Standards, and any other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies that apply to a food manufacturing facility.
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
