Company Description Whitney Peak Hotel is a Hilton Tapestry Collection property located in downtown Reno, Nevada, adjacent to the iconic Reno Arch. As Reno's first full-service non-gaming hotel, the property offers an active lifestyle experience inspired by the local culture and geography. Guests enjoy unique amenities including BaseCamp, a 7,000-square-foot indoor bouldering park with the world's tallest outdoor climbing wall, as well as Cargo Concert Hall, a live music venue featuring top artists and a state-of-the-art performance space. The hotel also features a full-service restaurant and bar, alongside contemporary accommodations with breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Whitney Peak also boasts 20,000 square feet of bookable meeting space for corporate retreats, association events, weddings, and more.


Role Description The Group Sales Manager will oversee all group sales activities, including generating new and repeat business, cultivating relationships with prospective clients, and managing sales contracts to meet revenue targets. Responsibilities include researching market trends, conducting client presentations, coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, and representing the hotel at industry events and trade shows. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Reno, NV. Partial relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, including relationship building, negotiation, and contract management
  • Strong knowledge of the hospitality or events industry with expertise in group sales
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and implement effective sales strategies
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant sales software
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on-site with both external clients and internal teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Flexibility to attend events and work evenings or weekends as needed
