WittKieffer is excited to partner with Whitman-Walker Health System (WWHS) to conduct the search for their next Chief Executive Officer in partnership with Naseema Shafi, Chief Executive Officer, of Whitman-Walker Health Center (WWHC).
WWHS is seeking an innovative and dedicated leader as its next CEO. This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial, collaborative leader who wants to lead Whitman-Walker Health System to build upon the organization's strong reputation and to expand the entities under their purview as well as in collaboration with Whitman-Walker Health to be a national model for LGBTQ care, research, policy, education, strategic partnerships, and philanthropy.
Whitman-Walker Health System envisions a society where all people are seen for who they are, treated with dignity and respect, and afforded equal opportunity to health, loving openly, and experiencing equality and inclusion. 50 years ago, in response to the HIV/AIDS crisis, Whitman-Walker began to build services to care for the needs of LGBTQ communities and other communities marginalized from access to care. In the decades since, the organization remains a leader in LGBTQ care by means of advocacy, research, policy, and education.
This year, Whitman-Walker marks its 50th anniversary and opens the new, state-of-the-art Max Robinson Center, significantly extending and expanding outreach in patient care and research. In 2018 Whitman-Walker created Whitman-Walker Health System to help accomplish significant new undertakings as they regard to research, policy, education, philanthropy, collaboration with health clinics, and revenue generation.
While much has been achieved since the inception of the Health System, the opportunities to build awareness of mission and impact, deepen partnerships, and increase revenue for this stalwart and historic organization remain limitless.
The CEO of Whitman-Walker Health System oversees Whitman-Walker Foundation, Whitman-Walker Institute, and Whitman-Walker Real Property Holdings; and is responsible for engaging in and executing on entrepreneurial strategies for revenue diversification and fundraising to support all of Whitman-Walker.
